Spending Time In Upstate South Carolina

One of my favorite places to visit is the western region of South Carolina known as the Upstate. The area has great hiking trails, rivers, creeks, parks, and waterfalls. You can spend days, weeks, or even months exploring the trails and visiting countless remote places in the mountains.

If you’re seeking a city experience, consider visiting downtown Greenville, South Carolina. You can take in the picturesque Reedy River, which flows through the city and features a stunning waterfall. The city has beautifully incorporated this natural beauty by creating lovely parks along the river.

A bit to the north, you’ll find yourself in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. If you’re like me, you might enjoy getting away from it all and enjoying the beautiful spring flowers in the mountains. Mountain Laurel is my favorite. There is something special about being in a forest surrounded by Mother Nature.

I feel truly blessed to hike and photograph the many places I’ve traveled. I often wish you could be with me as I round a bend or climb to the top of a mountain. The views, the beauty, the sounds of a waterfall, or the quiet pastel scene of a mountain meadow are moments I hope you too will experience.
